Dreaming of our SDA appointment

Had another dream last night. This time it was of our SDA appointment. We were showed five files. They laid out all of the files at one time for us to go through. The first was for a three year old little boy with Down's Syndrome. The second was for two boys ages four and six who were relatively healthy. The third and fourth I can't remember, and the last one was for a little boy who was 17 months old, and diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. Just when we were about to choose, I woke up.

Oh how I wish, I could have finished my dream. :)

I wonder how the real appointment will go.

I've had a few dreams too about our time in Ukraine. The first one was about a little girl, then about 2 boys, the last one was about an 18 mo. old boy who would not attach to me, but was in love with my husband. I'm glad I'm not the only one having adoption dreams!

On night I dreamed I had met my daughter. The alarm went off as I was in the middle of it. That very same day, I received my LOI. I still wonder, could it possibly have been sent at the same time I was having my dream?

So who would you have chosen???

Isn't that hard when you wake up and you want to know the outcome of the dream?

We leave in 12 days and I'm just praying to have clarity when we get into our appointment.

Glad to see you've gotten some of your apostilled documents back.

Doh! Doesn't that always happen with dreams! I don't know anything about Ukraine adoption....you aren't matched with a child before traveling? Do you have to give parameters or do they tell you the children they have? It is so interesting to me how different each country is.

Thanks for stopping by our blog.
We're hoping for 1-2 children under age 4, with minor or correctible health issues. If only one is available, we would prefer a little girl, but we're trying to be flexible and prayerful about God's plans for us.

I just read your profile and can't believe that I didn't see that you have 10 children before! WOW!!! You and your husband are amazing!

Christine,
The plants are Amaryllis bulbs that will flower in about a month.
Check this website out to see a plant in bloom:

It looks like quite an amazing journey you are on...blessing to all your endeavors.

Christine: Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving your precious comment. I didn't know that when I came to visit that I would be so blessed. I am an adopted child(long past childhood) so your sites and words are a great joy to read! Thank you. Praise HIM!

What a dream!

You had asked me about my blog and the layout. I believe all I did was pick a different template that was wider. I tried to find other ways to widen it because I didn't like it chopping my big pictures and then if I did the pictures smaller they were hard to see. I wish the box for creating the post was larger, I don't like that it doesn't look like the end result as I am creating it. UGH. Wish I could help more, but I think that was all I did.

Best of luck with all the adoption details. I can feel your anxiousness!

At least you are one step closer to submitting everything. Looks like we will be submitting our dossiers around the same time. I wonder if that will mean we'll travel around the same time?!

How fun is that? Love it!

PS I'm so glad to have found you b/c I have friends who are dreaming of adopting from Eastern Europe and will want to know EVERYTHING! Do you know if Poland is open?

Hi! Thanks for commenting on my blog - you are so sweet! I, too, had a dream about our SDA appointment! I dreamed they showed us a little girl who was 2 and a half. She had tested positive for Diptheria. The other one was healthy and had just turned 5. Like you, I woke up before we chose. I have no clue what I would have done. I will say that I have been researching Deptheria though! hehe
