Let's Pray

As the time gets closer to the day that we will eventually travel, I find myself including our son in my prayers with the kids more and more. It is sweet how one of them (once in a while) will actually remind me that I didn't pray for him that night.

"Mom, you fawgot to pway for owr baby bwother," Andrew has told me before.

"Mommy, don't forget about our new baby. Maybe if we pray, he will come quicker," Anna will tell me.

Aw, my dear Anna. If only that were true. Maybe if we all pray for our children to come home, it will make a difference. I have heard that praying in numbers is similar to moving mountains.

Come on everybody, whether you are adopting from Ukraine, Russia, Guatemala, Haiti, Columbia, Africa, or even right here in the US, take a moment and say a little prayer for your precious child waiting for you in a faraway land.

Matthew 18:20 (NIV)
"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

One of the sweetest joys I've known as a mom (other than leading my kids to the Lord) was hearing them pray for their sister. At first they didn't know who it would be and would pray generically for her. Then once they saw her picture, they prayed specifically...in their own 6, 7 and 9 year-old ways. Precious. And I'm sure it's precious to their Heavenly Father as well. I think one of the greatest joys He must have as a Father (other than having people accept his free gift) is to hear us lift each other up in prayer. Just as any mother or father feels.
We'll be lifting your child up before the Father in the days and weeks to come.
((hugs))

Long time the religion has been forbidden in our countries (Russia, Ukraine). Many our people have a difficult way to the God. Yes, I shall continue to pray for children and for parents who search each other. I am able to do it, I trust, the God will help them!

Praying. Spent a while in my car today praying. It's the first thing I do in the morning, before my eyes are open, and the last thing I do at night.

Lord Jesus, I join these other moms in lifting these children to your throne. Father, connect the Fatherless with Fathers all across this world. Bring these kiddos home in exactly your timing. Protect their hearts in the waiting. Father, please use their obedience to challenge others to obey in the same way and rise up believers all across our blessed nation to be a blessing to children without.

Praying for you to be united soon! Sometimes my kiddos can't even believe it that Davis is home now! My 3 year old still prays in amazement, "thank you God for my brother" Such sweet faith!

It's a great tribute to you and your husband that you've taught your children to put God first. I love to see their pure faith and hear my boys pray. It's beautiful.
