Things for Dennis

Now that Dennis is truly our son, I can safely buy what I think he needs without fear that maybe we won't complete his adoption.  HE IS OUR SON!  So this Mama went out and bought some things for her little boy.

In Ukraine, we bought these trusiki (boys' tights) just in case the ten days were waived and we got to bring him home. We needed something that met the orphanage caretaker's approval.  The couple of short outfits I brought would never suffice.  The way they like to bundle up the children is utterly ridiculous, but we were more than willing to comply because of our excitement of finally getting to take Dennis home.
Just tonight I went out and bought these outfits.  (Thanks Kristen for the Target gift card).  I think the green tights will go great with the green shorts.  Don't you?  :)
The one thing that I wasn't expecting with Dennis is that he needs everything to be pureed for him.  In fact, baby food is right up his alley.  We bought the Bebi cereal in Ukraine and was told that Dennis couldn't eat it(yet they fed him stuff like that).  You just wait and see till I post a picture of him wolfing down spoonfuls of this yummy stuff mixed with applesauce.

I just discovered your blog last night...through the No Place Like Home site. Your blog is just amazing!! I love how you write..right from your heart. It is so touching. I could easily spend a lot more time on your blog...but I have three little ones that REALLY like my attention on them :-) (I guess I have to save your blog reading for after they are all tucked in at night...when I do everything else anyway) The post "Not going to drive the bus" (or ride the bus...) was excellent and so true!! You hit the nail on the head when speaking about what society's views are of Mothers. Some people get it...and well...others never will. Also the post "From My Hubby" was awesome!! I think everybody should read that post...it speaks volumes. It would make a great home-page.. Most importantly, little Dennis is just so precious and absolutely beautiful. He looks like such a sweet little muffin :-) You have a wonderful family...what a blessing! My husband and I are in the process of adopting a 5yr.old little boy from China...this is our first adoption and we are so excited. Thanks for sharing your story with all of us. We will be praying for safe return travels to bring Dennis home.

I have been hearing a song on Radio Disney lately (what else do we listen to around here?) It is called "This is Home" it is from the most recent Narnia soundtrack. Every time I hear it, I think of you guys bringing Dennis home. It is such a beautiful song.
Congratulations!!!

I was refered to your site by a friend and was amazed! My husband and I are in the process of adopting 2 children from Ukraine. This is our first attempt at adopting and seems that we are hitting all the roadblocks that come up. I did want you guys to know that it is amazing that you have sooo many children and still are giving out love to those who otherwise may never know the joy of having a mom and dad. I pray for you both and for your little Dennis. God bless his little heart!! I can't praise you enough on your efforts and I know God has a special place for people like you and your husband in Heaven.

Best of luck,

Conethia

I have been following your adoption of Dennis. It is so sweet to see how he buries his little head into his momma and pappa's shoulders. How exciting that you *almost* have him home. I bet it is so fun picking out clothing and foods for your little man. Congratulations!

P.S. I love the video where you try out the hotdog pita thingy! Your expression is priceless!

Baby shopping is so fun. I'm doing it myself these days, with (big surprise!) baby #6. Alot happened while you were in Ukraine!
Congratulations on your new addition! I'm sorry I'm so late. I did check up on you, but didn't have time to comment.

Hi Christine! Looks like you had a great time at Target. My favorite store to shop. The outfits are adorable. I'm glad you were able to use the gift card. We're continuing to pray for you and Dennis and that you won't be too lonely for eachother. But really, it's only a few more days till you're "leavin' on a jet plane" once more!

Christine, I haven't commented in a few days, but still following your blog. Just wanted to let you know you are still in my prayers as are your children and your baby Dennis.

I'm praying that John will have a smooth trip back. I wish I was there to see when John goes to get Dennis. I bet that precious baby will be gleaming with joy!

Much love to you and John. I think of you every day.

That is so nice that you were able to use a gift card that was sent. I think that is a great gift to give. This way you can get what you need, the size you need, etc... Do you prefer one store over another? Like Target instead of Wal-Mart or does it matter? Just wondering because I do not live near a Target, but I have a Wal-Mart in my small town.

Thank you to everyone that is helping this precious family. I know your prayers and support mean so much to them.

He will love the food you give him! And he is going to look so cute in the outfits!
