Open Arms Ukraine

Since I won't have much to report on the adoption, at least for a while, I wanted to share some other things in the mean time. I found this video on You Tube and was very touched by it. I thought of Ashley, Debbie, and a few others as I watched it. I love the pictures of the boys asleep. Something about a child sleeping, even a teenage boy that seems angelic to me. :)

Enjoy, and don't be afraid to act on the heartstrings that might be pulled on while watching this video.

Christine! Hello.
That video clip WAS very moving. Thanks for sharing that with us.

And thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It's so nice to meet you. Today is a hectic day here at my house so I don't have time to read and learn all about you & your blog right this second but I'm so excited to know you and follow your journey adding to your blessed family. For now I need to get back to packing. We're leaving tonight to travel from Virginia to Vermont for Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you!!!

You are so sweet, Christine! Thanks for sharing the video. You know, Open Arms Ukraine is my friend on myspace. They are sweet young people with a heart for the children of Ukraine. They always respond if you send them a message...very nice young people.

Watched it again. The part where the boys are snuggled in bed... really gets me. My husband and I were talking last night about how teen boys really are the least wanted children. It breaks my heart. They are all so handsome. I want to squeeze each one of them.

It is such a helpless feeling when you know you cannot save them all.

Courtney, I agree, it is a touching video. If only every family would open up their homes to one of these children, the world would be a better place, and we could save them all.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to watch.

I watched it a couple of days ago and my thought was, why do they make it so hard and expensive to aodpt these kids!? I'd love to adopt more but we are still trying to figure out how to finance the adoption we are in.
